‘Buy our tea or else’: Kirinyaga farmers spend night at buying centre in protest

Tea farmers in Kirinyaga Central have vowed to suspend deliveries to Kiawakara Buying Centre 11, also known as KN Eleven, until a colleague's rejected produce is accepted, escalating a dispute that has seen them spend the night at the facility.The farmers staged the protest after a collection clerk allegedly rejected green leaf belonging to one of their colleagues on Monday, citing poor quality without providing a satisfactory explanation.
