Raila and Jimi Wanjigi’s Shocking Plan Against Kenya Kwanza

Raila Odinga engaged in a discreet two-hour meeting with billionaire businessman Jimmy Wanjigi at the Norfolk Hotel on Tuesday. This rendezvous followed their joint declaration of potential street protests against Kenya Kwanza’s stringent policies.

The duo refrained from addressing the press post-lunch, leaving the purpose of their meeting shrouded in mystery.

Wanjigi later revealed that their discussions delved into crucial national matters. “We discussed several issues but more importantly matters of national interest with the Azimio leader in our meeting that went very well,” stated Wanjigi.

Raila, unaccompanied by his associates, remained tight-lipped in the presence of reporters. Nevertheless, an anonymous source, as reported by the Standard, hinted at a more profound agenda during the clandestine meeting.

Allegedly, they explored strategies to expose Kenya Kwanza’s misinformation to the public, focusing on economic concerns and the escalating cost of living.

There are indications that Wanjigi seeks collaboration with Raila to mount pressure on the Kenya Kwanza administration, urging a retreat from the burdensome high taxation policies. Wanjigi contends that these levies are becoming unbearable for Kenyans.

In a stern warning issued last Friday, the Safina Party’s 2022 presidential aspirant cautioned President William Ruto about potential public unrest due to escalating taxes and punitive policies.

Wanjigi emphasized the urgent need for a policy shift: “You cannot wake up every day and continue to increase taxes. The people are the ones who are suffering. We want to tell you the truth that you have only three months, and if you do not change, you will see.”

This meeting on Tuesday marked the first public encounter between Raila Odinga and the influential power broker since March 2022.

As the duo navigates discussions on national interests and economic challenges, their collaboration could potentially shape the discourse around Kenya’s policies, particularly addressing the concerns of high taxation and its impact on citizens. The secrecy surrounding their meeting adds an air of anticipation to the unfolding political narrative.
