Gachagua’s Announcement Shocks Kenyans

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has announced that Ms. Wanjiku Wakogi will assume the role of Chief of Staff at the Office of the Deputy President.

The transition was formalized in a ceremony held today, where outgoing Chief of Staff George McGoye handed over the reins to Ms. Wakogi at the Official Residence in Karen, Nairobi.

Gachagua praised Ms. Wakogi, emphasizing her extensive experience as a seasoned lawyer and distinguished public servant. He highlighted her notable achievements, including serving in various offices and departments and holding the position of Secretary to the State Corporations Advisory Committee.

According to Gachagua, her background in governance and reputation as a high-profile technocrat make her a valuable addition to the Office of the Deputy President.

Expressing confidence in Ms. Wakogi’s capabilities, Gachagua stated, “We are thrilled to welcome Ms. Wanjiku Wakogi as the new Chief of Staff.
