DCI Reveals Next Step After Arresting Mandago

The outspoken senator of Uasin Gishu Jackson Mandago was finally been arrested in Uasin Gishu county in the morning. He was keen to note that he is ready to offer any information to the government to help recover the money that was stolen.

The senator was arrested after hiding from detectives for about one day until all his plans were exhausted and he finally surrendered. He was then whisked to Nakuru county where he was grilled awaiting to be presented to court tommorow.

The director of criminal investigation has revealed that over eight hundred million shillings were stolen in the scheme after money was withdrawn into individual accounts. Money was allegedly withdrawn from the education account created by the county government to personal accounts where it was later transferred to the three individuals arrested together with Mandago.

The former governor is the main suspect in this case and he will be presented to Nakuru law courts tomorrow.
