RUTO APPOINTS CHEBUKATI TO A POWERFUL POSITION

Following the Public Service Commission’s advice, President William Ruto chose Mary Chebukati Wanyonyi to lead the Commission on Revenue Allocation (CRA). After the elections on August 9th, the family of Chebukati received a prize in the form of a significant government position.

However, Mary Chebukati is anticipated to require Parliament’s approval before assuming her new position. After the August 9th elections and throughout the campaign, President Ruto has continued to be dedicated, especially to recognizing those who stood up for justice.

There have been rumors that Chebukati, who recently left IEBC, would also be chosen as a judge on the court of appeals. In order to establish his authority and demonstrate that he is in fact in charge of the nation and its decisions, President Ruto has moved forward.

Despite being married to Wafula Chebukati, the former chairman of the IEBC, Mary Chebukati is also a professional. Due to their opposition to Chebukati and his family in the wake of the results of the elections on August 9, this most recent nomination is sure to anger Azimio leaders greatly.
