Celebrities Who Divorced in 2022

Aside from setting trends, being role models, and entertaining us, among other things, celebrities also get to experience life, the same way every human does.

One of the biggest challenges celebrities continue to face is keeping their relationships private and when things go south, they have to face the reality and open up to their fans about it.

Below are celebrity breakups that caught us unaware in 2022.

1. Governor Joho

Joho’s Italian ex-wife Madina Giovanni Fazzini  got divorced in February 4, this year.

Fazzini, 32, was married to Joho under Islamic law on February 11, 2011. They are blessed with two daughters, now aged nine and eight years.

On January 26, this year, Fazzini filed a divorce case at the Kadhi’s Court in Mombasa, saying that their 11-year marriage had broken down irretrievably, with no chances of revival.

On February 4, Joho through his lawyer signed a consent to end the marriage with his wife. A certificate of divorce was issued by Chief Kadhi on the same day.

2. Akothee and Nelly Oaks

The 41-year-old took to her socials to announce she was single again.

She was at the time dating her manager Nelly Oaks.

“Nimeachwa imagine… I am single again. Don’t take this relationship thing personally,” her post read.

The mother of five went on to add that the road to relationships was always under construction, joking that her forever to infinity had packed and left.

“Do you remember when I told you I am taken? Well till death do us part just parked and left! I’m single again guys… the road to relationship is always under construction,” the rest of her post read.

She has since moved on and is dating a white guy known as Omondi.
