CHAOS IN UASIN GISHU PEOPLE SHOT

A middle-aged man in Eldoret is nursing gunshot wounds after being shot in an incident whose details remain unclear.

Witnesses say the man was shot outside the campaign secretariat offices of one of the Uasin Gishu gubernatorial aspirants on Monday night.

The incident sparked outrage among a number of youth who milled around the area.

It took the efforts of Kapseret member of parliament Oscar Sudi, UDA Uasin Gishu gubernatorial aspirant Jonathan Bii commonly referred to as ‘Koti Moja’ and former Uasin Gishu County speaker David Kiplagat to calm the rowdy youth.

Police are investigating the matter.
