FINALLY! DP RUTO’S KEY ALLY REVEALS HIS RUNNING MATE

Kenya Kwanza’s die hard finally drops a late night hint hours after Ruto’s deputy ran into headwinds

Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei has finally hinted who will be picked as William Ruto’s deputy hours after the much-anticipated unveiling of a running mate for Deputy President William Ruto on Saturday ran into headwinds amid reports of a major standoff.

In a tweet on Saturday night, Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei suggestively placed Tharaka Nithi Senator Kithure Kindiki at the center of the debate, leaving Kenyans on whether the DP had settled on the soft-spoken legislator as his second in command.

However, Cherargei’s post just remains speculative as Kenyans await to see the aspirant DP will finally settle on ahead of the August general polls.

Dr Ruto, who is Kenya Kwanza Alliance presidential candidate, had promised to name his running mate on Saturday.

Ruto’s unveiling was pushed to 1 pm, later 3 pm and eventually ended up not happening as at 5 pm.

According to sources close to a local daily, that negotiations failed to bear fruits resulting in the exit of the two leaders.

Kindiki was the first to leave at about 5 PM and was followed by Gachagua 20 minutes later.

Other leaders allied to the DP were still holed in a meeting at the DP’s residence by the time of going to the press.

The DP was to pick either Tharaka Nithi Senator Kithure Kindiki or Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua as his running mate.

Senior Journalist John Jacob Kioria had earlier revealed that a tug of war was currently ongoing at Ruto’s Karen home.

He revealed that the divide in mount kenya leaders on who Dr Ruto should choose as his second in command has led to a delay in unveiling his running.

“Tense negotiations at Karen. The tug of war is between Kindike kithure and Rigathi Gachagua. Mt Kenya leaders are trying to negotiate a way out of the deadlock. Leaders from the region divided
Into Gachagua and Kindiki camp,” he wrote.
