LIST OF THINGS THAT RUTO DID TO UHURU DESTROYING THEIR RELATIONSHIP FOREVER

Wednesday attacked his deputy, William Ruto over what he termed as politics of deceit and division as he sought to showcase his development record.
Mr. Kenyatta, who did not mention Ruto by name even a single time, said the deputy president had lied to Kenyans about what his government had done while dishing out proceeds of corruption.

Termed ‘Sagana 3’, President Kenyatta had called a meeting of Mt. Kenya leaders and delegates to the Sagana State Lodge to ostensibly revive the Jubilee Party.

The meeting was, among other things, also meant to outline the president’s reasons for backing ODM leader Raila Odinga’s State House bid and why he fell out with his Deputy William Ruto.

Mr. Kenyatta chastised Mr. Ruto saying he lied about the ‘Handshake’ with Mr. Odinga saying he was aware of the whole process.

“When I was discussing with Raila, I kept my deputy well informed. Even on the morning of the handshake, he was the last person I talked to before I went to Harambee House,” said an angry Head of State. “Then he comes here to tell you that I kept him in the dark.”

He reiterated his reasons for the handshake were for the sake of peace and not to try and get another term in office.

“God willing, I want to finish my term, I leave the country to people who mean well for the country and we will be meeting in the streets,” he added.

He then took issue with religious leaders whom he accused of being blinded by looted funds to deceive the public.

“Religious leaders, don’t allow our people to be misled. Tell them the truth… We all love God and we give offerings according to our ability. Don’t receive stolen money for you to mislead people,” he said.

The no-hold-barred President dug even deeper bringing up the Arror and Kimwarer dams scandal.

“How, as religious leaders, can you receive money stolen from Ksh.3 billion meant for construction of dams in Elgeyo Marakwet to mislead our people just because you have received Ksh.2 million. You’d rather receive Ksh.100 that I have genuinely earned than Ksh.1 million that has been stolen,” he said

While touting his development record, Mr. Kenyatta said he has grown the economy since he took over.

“Kibaki left me a Ksh.5 trillion economy and I will leave (Raila) a Ksh.13 trillion economy,” he stated. “And then you say I have not done anything.”
