NI KUBAYA: RAILA ODINGA TO BE ARRESTED.

Former prime minister, Raila Odinga is to be arrested. Muranga Senator Irungu Kang’ata has called for the arrest of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga accusing him of inciting the public ahead of the August polls.

Senator Kangata has said that following Raila Odinga’s statement that “each youth in Kenya should be given each a gun and a bullet to serve as his army” are meant to incite challenging the Director of Public Prosecution to order his immediate arrest if they are free and fair in their conduct.

“Dpp, you are an honorable and fair public official. You will order criminal investigations against Baba for ordering youths to do this,” Kangata has said.

Kangata’s remarks have seemed controversial and revenge against the DPP’s conduct against the made by Meru Senator Mithika Linturi.

But in defense of Raila Odinga, Political Analyst Wafula Buke has told Senator Irungu Kangata that Raila Odinga cannot be arrested since he has been specific to his remarks saying that,

“Baba has always explained what Bunduki (ID) and Risasi (voter’s card) are. However much you try to twist it, it won’t wash with us- truth is, your fellow Kikuyus were burnt in Kiambaa after being labeled Madoadoa. The Hague heard it on many occasions from different witnesses,” Wafula Buke has said.

The remarks from Kang’ata follow a statement made by Nominated MP David Ole Sankok who has vowed to move to court to have Raila Odinga prosecuted and charged over treason in a bid to block his statehouse bid.
