RUTO ALLIED MP WHO TRIED TO DISRUPT AZIMIO LA UMOJA RALLY

Maragua Member of Parliament (MP) Mary Wamaua was visibly distraught as she left Raila Odinga’s ongoing Azimio la Umoja convention at Kasarani stadium on Friday over claims that the event’s security manhandled her.

Wamaua arrived at the event, where Odinga was set to officially announce his presidential bid, but she was not pleased with how security officials allegedly shoved her at every opportunity.

The Maragua MP, who is a vocal supporter of Deputy President William Ruto,  also purports that security barred her from accessing the area set aside for delegates.

In a viral video seen by Citizen Digital, the legislator could be heard reprimanding the guards for unnecessarily roughing her up.

“How can you push me around like a bag of potatoes when I am an elected legislator?” Wambua quizzed.

In a toned-down attack on ODM, she similarly urged the venue’s security to exercise humility citing that it was a virtue Kenyans will look at when electing the country’s next president.

“If you can do this right now, how will you act if you (ODM) clinch the presidency next year?” she asked.

She consequently slammed the party citing that she will not forget the “disrespectful’ manner in which she was treated.
