3 FAMILY MEMBERS DIES AFTER ATTENDING A FUNERAL.

Three members of the same family have today perished in a grisly road accident after the car they were traveling in was involved in a collision with another.

The early morning crash happened at the farmers’ corner area of Limuru in the greater Kiambu County.

Reports indicate that the family was travelling from a funeral in Nazareth, and their driver failed to negotiate a sharp bend leading to a head-on collision with another car.

The wreckages have since been towed to the nearby Tigoni police station and police are underway with the investigations into the real cause of the accident.

Good Samaritans moved in with speed to rescue the injured, for quick and timely medical attention.

The accident attracted curious onlookers that later culminated in a heavy traffic snarl-up along the busy road.

Eyewitnesses said bodies were moved by the police to the nearest preservation facility.

Locals are seeking the intervention of the authorities to erect bumps along the Limuru-Nazareth stretch up to Kiambu road since it has numerous sharp corners resulting in frequent accidents.

They have also asked the government to put up road signages to enlighten road users about the condition of the road and what to expect ahead.
