President Uhuru Kenyatta has been given an heroic welcome to Kisumu town. The bromance between the once political foes continues. Kisumu residents were excited when they heard that Uhuru together with Raila will tour the region.
Businesses in the lakeside town came to standstill on Thursday, October 22, after the two leaders left Yatch Club in the morning to begin the day’s programme.

The first business of the day was a meeting with top political leadership of the region. The agenda of the meeting is not known because the media was locked out of the closely guarded meeting.
Thousands of residents welcomed the president and the former prime minister. The president and the ODM leader will inspect various government projects. They will also popularize the recently released Building Bridges Initiative agenda.
In a show of love to the president, the crowd led by jubilant boda boda riders placards praising Uhuru and his Handshake partner Raila Odinga for their recent show of unity.
The leaders were expected at the Jomo Kenyatta International Stadium, Uhuru Business Park and Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Sports Complex.
Construction of the sports complex will begin in April 2021, Uhuru laid a foundation stone during the tour.
Raila will be expecting a strong backing of BBI from his backyard.
