Nabii Nabwera to ditch his Lugari MP seat, eyes Deputy Governor position

Lugari Member of Parliament Nabii Nabwera is reportedly plotting to abandon his parliamentary seat and deputise Kakamega County Women Representative Elsie Muhanda in the 2027 gubernatorial race slated for August 10, 2027.Sources close to the legislator indicate that Nabwera has warmed up to the idea of being Muhanda’s running mate, banking on a political gamble that the Women Rep will only serve one term and pave way for him to take over the county’s top seat in 2032.
