Matiang’i urged to drop presidential bid and support Ruto’s re-election

Renowned lawyer Danstan Omari has urged Jubilee Party leader Dr. Fred Matiang’i to shelve his 2027 presidential ambitions and instead support President William Ruto in the forthcoming General Election.Addressing journalists in Kisii town, Omari said he was not asking Matiang’i to quit politics but to reconsider his presidential ambitions and support the incumbent president, arguing that such a move would benefit the Gusii community.
