Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya has expressed confidence that the Linda Mwananchi Movement will defeat President William Ruto in the 2027 General Election without having to challenge the presidential results in court.

Natembeya, who is leading the movement's presidential campaign, made the remarks during a political rally in Kwale County on Saturday, October 31, where he accompanied Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna and other proposed party officials on a grassroots mobilisation tour.
Addressing supporters, the governor declared that the movement would secure victory at the ballot and would not need the Supreme Court to determine the outcome of the presidential election.

He claimed that the team would independently tally the votes before heading to State House in Nairobi, where they would wait for the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to officially announce the winner.
Natembeya suggested that the movement had left the option of challenging presidential election results at the Supreme Court to the late ODM leader Raila Odinga.
He further declared that the days when presidential election victories were allegedly taken away through electoral malpractice were over, warning those planning to manipulate the 2027 results against attempting to do so.
During the engagement in Kinango area, Natembeya accused local political leaders of prioritising their personal interests while neglecting the challenges facing ordinary residents.

He questioned why some leaders were aligning themselves with Ruto's administration instead of addressing the difficulties experienced by the people they represent.
The governor urged residents to support the Linda Mwananchi Movement, arguing that the country needed leadership that prioritised ordinary citizens.
Natembeya's remarks came a day after the movement formally unveiled its headquarters and proposed national leadership in Lavington, Nairobi, on Friday, October 30.
Sifuna was proposed as the party leader, while Natembeya was named chairperson of its board of trustees and the presidential campaign.
