British entrepreneur Sir Richard Branson has shared his excitement about one of Kenya's luxury safari destinations, drawing attention to the country's high-end tourism sector.
Branson posted a video from Finch Hattons Luxury Safari Camp, located inside Tsavo West National Park. In his message, he praised the team at the property and expressed appreciation for the welcome he received during his visit.
“The warmest of welcome at Finch Hattons, our newest property in Kenya,” Branson wrote, describing the staff as a dream team. He also said he was excited to visit the camp and meet its team.
Finch Hattons features 17 luxury tented suites set within a natural environment covering approximately 35 hectares. The camp is built around natural springs and offers visitors views of the surrounding wilderness, including the Chyulu Hills and Mount Kilimanjaro.
The facility offers several services, including guided game drives, bush walks, accommodation and wellness facilities. Its presidential suite features a private heated plunge pool, a dedicated butler and a private chef.
The property became part of Virgin Limited Edition, Branson's collection of luxury hotels and retreats, in July 2024. However, the camp remains under the ownership of the Kenyan Gehlot family, which has been involved in safari operations for several decades.
Branson's latest post has renewed attention on the luxury camp as Kenya continues to promote its tourism destinations to international visitors.
The entrepreneur also has links to Mahali Mzuri, another luxury safari camp in the Maasai Mara ecosystem that is part of the Virgin Limited Edition collection.
His latest visit highlights the continued presence of international hospitality brands in Kenya's tourism industry.
