FIRE BREAKS OUT IN NAIROBI CBD

Such a bad morning. Residents of Mukuru Kwa Reuben slums, Embakasi South Constituency, Nairobi County have today woken up to an unexpected scenes as several houses within the smalls catched fire.

News reaching us from a reliable source of information is that that several houses within the Mukuru Kwa Reuben slums went up in flames as the residents watched helplessly.

As seen in a video shared by the source, huge smokes could be seen coming from several houses within the slums as some of the residents attempted to bring down the fire.

The cause the the fire could be be ascertained as at the time of going to the press, but we will be working to bring more updates as they arrive in our news desk.

Cases of fire breakout has been rampant in the streets of Nairobi, especially in Kibira and Gikomba markets. However, the cases of fire breakout have been minimal since the beginning of the year and we pray that it remains so.

Meanwhile, we call upon the County Government of Nairobi and all other relevant authorities to act swiftly to save properties that may be destroyed by the fire breakout in Mukuru Kwa Reuben.
