12 KENYANS TAKEN TO ICC HAGUE

Could the country witness yet again another group of kenyans extradited to the Netherlands to face the dreaded international criminal court (ICC) that is based at the Hague?

A fresh move has been launched to have 12 kenyans extradited to the international criminal court (ICC) after the 12 people through their lawyer told the court that their clients should be rightfully tried at the Hague.

In a case where the 12 Kenyans who are senior police officials are facing murder charges over the 2017 murder of baby Pendo in their home in Kisumu county in the wake of the disputed 2017 general elections, the four want the ICC to hear their case.

Their defence team led by lawyer William Arusei wondered why the case was being tried in Kenya when similar other cases before had been referred to the Hague based court for determination. He wondered why his clients were being treated differently and which criteria was used to charge them locally. They want their matter to be heard by the ICC
