FATE OF JUNIOR SECONDARY STUDENTS IN LIMBO

The head of state Dr William Ruto has hinted on the fate of Junior Secondary School as Kenyans wait to hear the full report and recommendations that will be given by the education review taskforce.

President Ruto said that the previous administration led by Uhuru Kenyatta had made plans of taking the junior secondary school to senior secondary schools.

And after reviewing, they found that the process will be too costly for the government and the parents and thus decided to domicile the junior secondary school in primary schools.

The president said that the junior secondary school might remain in the primary schools but as a separate institutions with their own administration untill the government is able to source for the necessary infrastructure in senior secondary school.

President Ruto said that the government will hire thirty thousand more teachers to add on the thirty five thousand teachers that were hired at the beginning of the year.

This was during an interview with journalists that was hosted in Nairobi statehouse.
