DATE SCHOOLS ARE EXPECTED TO CLOSE THIS MONTH.

The ministry exercises full control over the activities of the primary and secondary schools in the country, one role is to provide an academic calendar for each particular year.

The ministry of education earlier provided a new calender for 2023 with learning dates for the available three terms, halfterm dates, holliday dates and the national examination dates (KCSE and KCPE).

Currently learning activities are going on in the country in all the primary and secondary schools. Learning activities for the 2023 academic calender began on 23rd January 2023 and since then the learners have been going on with the normal academic activities.

Today being 1st March 2023, parents should be ready to receive their primary and secondary learners at home this month, according to the official MOE calender, schools are set to close for 2023 first term halfterm on 23rd March 2023 for three days until 26th March 2023 after which they will resume the second part of the term and end the term on 21st April 2023.
