Kenya Kwanza led by President William Ruto are expected to lock horns with azimio la Umoja led by Raila Odinga in parliament in what is seen as another political battle for the leadership of both the senate and the national assembly. The two coalitions are claiming that they have the majority MPs.
Today, Martha Karua while she was addressing hundreds of azimio la umoja members of parliament in Kajiafo where they are currently holding a parliamentary group meeting told the leaders that they have the majority members in the national assembly by law and they they are ready to battle it out in the courts of law.
However, the registrar of political parties has clarified that it is the Kenya Kwanza that has the majority of Members of Parliament due to defections. Initially, azimio la Umoja bragged with 170 MPs vs 160 MPs allied to Kenya Kwanza.
