MARTHA KARUA SENDS WARNING TO THE FOLLOWING PEOPLE

Martha Karua have sent warning to the following people. Several days ago, the supreme court of Kenya made a historic decision on the constitutionalism of the constituency development fund (CDF), a program that was introduced by the late president Mwai Kibaki following his victory in the 2022 elections.

The Supreme Court’s verdict was that the fund is unconstitutional and should be scrapped off, a move that left the new members of the national assembly on a tight spot as they had already planned ahead on how to utilize the fund to spur development.

And now, NARC Kenya party leader Martha Karua has come out to blast the members of the national assembly after getting information that the legislators were plotting to find a way to move around the supreme court verdict and have CDF back.

In a warning, Martha Karua stated that the legislators should tread carefully and not act with impunity to return the fund back despite the existence of a Court order against it.

“Doing so (returning CDF) will be an act of impunity,” she responded to the plans.

President elect Dr William Ruto stated earlier this month that he is committed to have the CDF fund back, a statement that attracted immense criticism.
