‘STAY AT HOME WE ARE NOT RESUMING’ – NO SCHOOLS

Students are advised to stay at home. Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Ogbomoso’s administration has recommended its students to stay at home, StechiteGist Media reports.

It advised the parents to prevent their children from attending the institution because classes have not yet started at the university.

In response to an allegation that the university has resumed, the organization issued this declaration.

According to our correspondent, the Oyo State government owns LAUTECH along with other tertiary educational institutions.

According to information obtained by StechiteGist Media, a document purporting to be signed by the institution’s registrar stated that classes would begin again on August 18.

However, the institution’s public relations officer, Olalekan Fadeyi, claimed in a statement made available to DAILY POST that the statement already making the rounds and purportedly signed by the registrar, Dr. Kayode Ogunleye, did not come from the administration of the university.

Fadeyi pleaded with the general public to ignore it, especially the parents, employees, and pupils of the school.

The management of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, has denied making any statement ostensibly declaring the start of academic activities on August 18, 2022, the speaker claimed.

“The remarks already making the rounds, purportedly signed by Dr. Kayode Ogunleye, Registrar of the institution, did not come from the administration of the university,” the statement reads.
