Details have emerged revealing a phone call between President Uhuru Kenyatta and the United States of America President Joe Biden’s top aide. The two reportedly discussed about the upcoming August 9 General Election.
According to details from the US Department of State, President Uhuru Kenyatta received a call from Secretary of State, Antony Blinken where he expressed USA President Joe Biden’s stand on the forthcoming August 9 General Elections.
Further details have indicated that in the phone call, the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken maintained that it was prudent for the August 9 polls to be done in a free and fair environment for all the elective seats.
This comes despite the concerns that were raised by the Deputy President William Ruto over the integrity of the elections.
“The Secretary underscored the importance of free and fair Kenyan elections that are peaceful and reflect the will of the Kenyan people,” US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken indicated in a statement.
