HUSSEIN MOHAMED LEAKS CITIZEN TV DEEPEST SECRET.

Hussein Mohamed, the Director of Communications of William Samoei Ruto Campaign boldly attacked Citizen TV accusing the station of being biased.

On Thursday, the ex anchor released a statement urging Ruto not to participate in the presidential debates while calling out on the station and several others for being biased towards Kenya Kwanza team and spreading propaganda  when it comes to political reporting.

“We note the unequal allocation of coverage, compounded by biased framing and negative profiling of the Kenya Kwanza Alliance campaigns and persons affiliated to it.

While their nefarious intentions and actions remain inconsequential to an enlightened people, we demand fair play as a matter of right as well as professional decency,” part of the statement read.

Others in his list included Inooro FM and Daily nation, He accused the media houses of abusing the public bandwidth by favoring Azimio la Umoja.

“We wish to highlight the notorious instance of runaway abuse of public bandwidth by Royal media services, a license which has converted its platforms especially Citizen TV, Inooro TV and Inooro Radio to official mouthpieces of the Azimio la Umoja. The Daily Nation complements these abuses by becoming their print counterpart,” Hussein noted.

Netizens however descended on him for attacking Citizen TV which elevated his journalism career.

“Respect Royal Media, they made you. If Ruto is afraid of facing his past he should just say so and avoid lame excuses like media bias. We have over 100 TV and radio stations, he can easily use the others as his campaign mouthpiece,” a netizen commented on his tweet.

“Kijana you’re Attacking Same Media that built you. The Most honorable thing Kenya Kwanza could’ve done is to blacklist those media stations from your campaigns & politics then we see who stands to lose. These are signs of Incoming Opposition,” Ole Leisanka

Hussein worked at Royal Media’s Citizen TV as an anchor for 10 years before calling it quits in October 2019, at the peak of his career in journalism, to pursue other interests.
