RAILA SUFFERS A MAJOR HEARTBREAKING HUMILIATION

In a strange change of tact, the Amani National Congress party which has viciously attacked former Prime Minister Raila Odinga ever since joining the DP’s Kenya Kwanza Alliance, appeared to sympathise with him while disclosing some of the things going on behind the scenes within the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance Coalition.

Amani National Congress party Nairobi Chapter Chairman Brian Mulama was speaking while making an appearance on Radio Jambo’s weekly political show Mazungumzo Wazi Wazi which was hosted by the station’s presenter Bramwell Mwololo.

Others alongside Mulama in the studio were lawyer and activist Brian Weke and Nairobi County Assembly Speaker Benson Mutura.

Mulama said that while indeed the treatment that former Vice-president Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka has been subjected to is humiliating, what was worse was what former Prime Minister Raila Odinga is undergoing.

While posing it against William Ruto who is free to pick his own running-mate within the Kenya Kwanza Alliance, Mulama claimed that Raila has been reduced to a puppet who has to accept everything suggested to him by president Uhuru Kenyatta.

Mulama said that this extends even to things such as the choice of a running-mate which should naturally be the prerogative of a presidential flag bearer.

While claiming that there’s freedom of choice and mutual respect in Kenya Kwanza, Mulama asserted that Azimio was akin to a gulag where all leaders have been held captive and have to dance to the president’s tune.

Preceding all this, this past week, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka had stated that he would not participate in the Azimio-One Kenya coalition’s running mate vetting process.

This followed the appointment of a seven-member team by the coalition’s council to assist presidential candidate Raila Odinga in selecting a suitable running mate.

Members of his Wiper party have also maintained their party leader is not only a leader of international standing but also backed by a resume of no mean repute and it would be subjecting him to humiliation to make him attend an interview.
