MARTHA KARUA HAS JOINED WILLIAM RUTO

Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua is expected to join the United Democratic Alliance NDC scheduled for Tuesday, March 15.

The NDC is expected to endorse deputy president William Ruto for the presidency.

This comes even as she snubbed the Azimio La Umoja meeting on Saturday where her fellow OKA principals, including Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Kanu’s Gideon Moi, attended and endorsed Raila Odinga for the presidency.

When asked where she was while her colleagues were signing the deal, Karua tweeted “Relaxing at home”.

Chama Cha Kazi leader Moses Kuria, as well as former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo of Tujibebe Wakenya party, are also expected to attend the UDA NDC.

UDA legal secretary Edward Muriu told the Star that all officials from Kenya Kwanza will attend the UDA conference.

Muriu said Narc-Kenya party leader Martha Karua, Mwangi Kiunjuri (TSP), William Kabogo (Tujibebe Wakenya Party) among others will attend.

“UDA delegates’ conference will bring all the leaders together including Martha Karua, Mwangi Kiunjuri, Kuria and Kabogo among others,” Muriu said.

Tharaka Nithi Senator Kithure Kindiki also confirmed that Karua is expected to attend.

“We expect other guests including Martha Karua but we will not tell their names right now,” Kindiki said.

The UDA NDC will be held at Kasarani Indoor Arena.

The endorsement of Ruto will set the stage for fierce battle considering that Raila was endorsed for the presidency on Saturday.
