HII NI MOTO: CHARITY NGILU ATTACKS KALONZO MUSYOKA

Kitui governor Charity Ngilu has told former vice president and wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka that he may see the presidency in Viusasa if he is not careful.

According to Charity Ngilu, there is a faction of leaders from the Wiper party who are misleading Mr. Musyoka to go it alone not to emerge victorious but for them to win their respective seats.

“My dear brother Kalonzo Musyoka , those lying to you that you can become President if you go it alone in 2022 are doing so for their own political expediency. They will use you na watapata viti na wewe utabaki kwa mataa. They don’t have your best interests at heart.” Said Charity Ngilu.

A number of Wiper leaders close to the former vice president in the Mwai Kibaki government have always maintained that he must go all the way to the ballot box.

Kitui Senator Enoch Wambua recently said the Wiper Party won’t allow its leader Kalonzo Musyoka to be coerced into supporting ODM leader Raila Odinga for president.

Wambua said Wiper’s leadership is determined  to ensure Kalonzo’s name is on the ballot for president in 2022 and Raila be his deputy if the two are to work together.

Wambua’s remarks came a few days after a meeting between the former Nasa principals and President Uhuru Kenyatta in Mombasa where he  urged the principals to unite behind the opposition chief in 2022.

“Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka has supported Raila twice as his deputy, he was a deputy at Mwai Kibaki’s government and was a key ally of President Moi.

“The time is ripe for him now to present himself on the ballot for Kenyans to elect him as president,” Wambua said.

“He’s the best presidential candidate the nation has ever had and he is the only sure bet for a better future come 2022

“ODM’s Raila Odinga is free to do whatever he feels right, but let me make it clear Kalonzo Musyoka won’t ever again be his deputy.

“The only way we can work together is if Mr Odinga joins Kalonzo as his deputy, if Mr Odinga wants to be in government past 2022,” he said.

Charity Ngilu is one of those governors from the larger Ukambani region that has been at the forefront of supporting  Raila Odinga’s presidency while advocating for the Azimio La Umoja campaign.

Just recently, Ngilu attended the much awaited Azimio La Umoja convention held at the Kasarani Stadium on the 9th of December 2021.
