PLEASE PRAY FOR MOSES KURIA. IT HAS GOTTEN WORSE

Gatundu South Member of Parliament, Moses Kuria, is recuperating at a hospital in Dubai after undergoing a seventh successive surgery.

The outspoken lawmaker decided to seek further treatment in Dubai after a series of other surgeries in the country. Kuria suffered third-degree burns from an electric blanket which he bought for Ksh250,000 after getting a referral from a friend.

Close to a month now, the lawmaker has been struggling to get back to his feet, with his latest option being to seek treatment from a world-class facility known as American Hospital Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.

The hospital is not just any other ordinary institution. It has modern state-of-the-art facilities that attract world-powerful individuals including businessmen, politicians, and even celebrities.

The American Hospital Dubai is luxurious in such a way that the Middle East country has partnered with it to promote tourism. People just visit the hospital for sightseeing the same way people visit national parks or game parks.

In terms of services, it offers the most effective, the most advanced medical care to people across the full spectrum of health conditions, through diagnosis, treatment, and management. Most of its services are offered on an appointment basis.

It is the pioneer hospital that launched a helipad in the facilities where patients can even book to be picked by their fleet of airplanes.

The services they offer are just so welcoming. It has a unit that specifically deals with special illness, another one that is fully dedicated to research and innovation, and a center set aside for robotics.

The hospital prides itself to have performed the first-ever robotic-assisted surgery that helped a woman lose over 8kgs.

Robotic-assisted weight loss surgery is a minimally invasive technique to general surgery with 3D imaging, tremor filter, and articulated instruments, making it superior to conventional laparoscopic surgery because of more improvements in visibility and manipulation.

Their lab is the first College of American Pathologists accredited laboratory in the United Arab Emirates since 2001 enjoying over 11 years of dominance.

Some of their excellent services at glance include the Total Joints Replacement Center which is the first of its kind in the entire Middle East and one of the only four available in the world.

It also has a Heart Center that is known for cardiac care and surgeries. It also has a cancer care unit that handles all forms of the disease and has been in operation since 2005.

The facility further offers a training center where other medical professionals go to advance their skills.

Kuria is banking on the prowess and the modern equipment found in the facility to recover and fully resume his duties.
