KALONZO CRYING AFTER RAILA DID THIS

I think after the dust settles, after we’ve voted and gotten a new commander in chief, after historians look at the past kindly, President Uhuru Kenyatta will be the one to carry blame.

Kalonzo for the last 10 years had accepted his fate. He was happy to forever gamble Kamba votes with potential win of becoming deputy president. He knew even if Raila did not want him, another person would pick him up and make him a plus one.

Then rumours started trickling in that President Uhuru might not endorse his deputy president. Just like most rumours, the plot thickened and the story changed to ‘President Uhuru will pick someone and make him president.’

The president never said such a thing. The only blame is that he did not earnestly sit down Kalonzo and his OKA colleagues to tell them not to expect him to pick one of them.

Kalonzo started dreaming again. He envisioned 2007 all over again. Only this time he would be picked to become president and not vice president.

In 2007 when Kalonzo was dreaming to become the president, the first thing he did was to run away with ODM Kenya party certificate leaving Raila Odinga momentarily partyless. The same happened again this time round. His first action was to run to the registrar of political parties and dissolve NASA alliance. Once again he left Raila stranded.

Reality has started hitting Kalonzo hard. He has realized that President Uhuru Kenyatta might not endorse him after all. What has been more painful is the realization that no one is interested in picking him as a running mate anymore. With Mt Kenya votes up for grabs for the first time in history, every serious presidential candidate wants to pick a running mate from Mt Kenya.

Now Kalonzo is crying for Raila to include him in his trip to Ukambani. He is begging to be given permission to visit his backyard. I know it’s funny but when you come to think about it, it’s actually sad.
