ANOTHER POLITICIAN DUMPS JUBILEE PARTY TO JOIN UDA LEAVING RAILA ODINGA WORRIED

Laikipia woman representative Catherine Waruguru has announced her return to Deputy President William Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA) camp.

Waruguru made the declaration to join the UDA party on Saturday in Nanyuki, apologizing to the Deputy President for leaving the party and her negative comments on the ‘hustler movement’ in the past.

“The question is not about the party; the question is: in whose hands is Kenya safe?” she posed.

Waruguru defected from UDA and did a handshake with Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Leader Raila Odinga in June 2020, attributing her exit then to national unity. She had vowed to support President Kenyatta to ensure that Laikipia people benefit from state-initiated projects.

Her Saturday’s about-turn comes just a few days after she posted a picture with William Ruto’s allies Aisha Jumwa and Susan Kihika.

Addressing residents in Laikipia, Waruguru said her move to join UDA happened after extensive consultations with her constituents.

She further welcomed Kalonzo Musyoka’s latest comments that he is open to dialogue with the DP and welcomed him to join the ‘hustler movement’.

“Watu wa generation hii tunaishi from the age of 18 to the age of 45… their intention and their purpose and all they pray in this Kenya is that wapate kazi… masomo… affordable housing. We are only asking for one thing; revolution,” she said.
