Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has said he may team up with former prime minister Raila Odinga or Deputy President William Ruto in the 2022 General Election.

Kalonzo says he may support Raila
Kalonzo said he might consider working with Raila again but with a good reason.

“To support him (Raila) for a third time would take some really serious introspection. That is why I said I would be a fool. If I end up supporting him again then I would have a good reason. If it comes to that, there will be negotiations,” Kalonzo told Daily Nation.
In June, the Wiper leader had dismissed any likelihood of him working with the former prime minister.

The one-time vice president stated Raila had never sought him to discuss plans ahead of the 2022 elections.

He insisted that it would be a tall order for him to support Raila again, given the two had worked together previously with the ODM chief failing to reciprocate the support.

“I am not a weakling…Raila and I have never sat to discuss 2022. I will be the most stupid person on earth to support Raila Odinga for president for the third time without a measure of reciprocity,” said Kalonzo.

Kalonzo on working with Ruto
In October, while on a tour of Ukambani, Ruto asked Kalonzo to ditch Raila and support his presidential bid.

Makueni senator Mutula Kilonzo Jnr revealed the DP was courting Kalonzo as the 2022 General Election inches closer.

“I have no doubts that there are efforts to reach out to Kalonzo, and we are waiting to see,” the lawmaker said.
When asked if he may partner with Ruto, whom he previously said he wanted to defeat, Kalonzo said:

“If you hear them (Ruto’s team) looking for me, I am available because Kenyans must consult. If they want to reach out to me, they are most welcome.
