THREE MAJOR REASONS WHY YOUR MSHWARI AND KCB LOAN LIMIT IS ZERO

Perhaps you are frustrated that your Mshwari loan limit is zero. This is despite you being a member of Safaricom for over a decade. Or you might see your friend getting high loan limits while yours is stuck at nil. The following three factors are possibly the reason your Mshwari limit does not grow:

1. You qualify for less than Sh 2000.

For the longest time Safaricom used to give loans as little as Sh 100. However, recently Safaricom has revised its loan limits. This is because of introduction of Fuliza Mpesa which is also owned by the telecommunications giant and NCBA Bank. If you qualify for amount less than sh 2000 that money will be given in form of Fuliza overdraft.

2. You delayed paying your loan amount.

Just like any lender, Mshwari does not like it when you negate on your contract. If you are given loan to be paid in one month strive to make sure it is done so. Otherwise if you pay late they might slash your limit to zero.

3. Negatively listed on CRB.

You might be paying your Mshwari limits on time but not paying other lenders. Mshwari actively checks your CRB records before they can advance you any loan. For example, if you have not paid your Equity Loan and they list you negatively on CRB, you might find your Mshwari loan limit reduced drastically.
