GOVERNMENT ISSUES NEW COVID-19 DIRECTIVES

Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe announced an extension to the national curfew. The CS stated that the curfew will start from 10 pm to 4 am across the whole country.

Additionally, the government announced that all public and personal meetings have been suspended countrywide. All government and intergovernmental meetings will also be virtual or postponed, according to the CS.

All forms of physical congregational meetings should be done under the guidelines of the interfaith council. In-person worship is to be limited to a third of the capacity of places of worship. The CS urged congregants to maintain a physical distance of at least 1 metre while indoors.

All restaurants and eateries should observe the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health.
