GOOD NEWS TO KENYANS AS NEW REPORTS CONCERNING NHIF EMERGE

National Health Insurance Funds is a body providing health insurance in Kenya. It is a directive that ensures that Kenyans access proper health facilities and services.

Every individual is therefore required to pay monthly fee in order to keep their NHIF card activated. Some people might have missed to make their payments for quite some time and thus their cards become deactivated.

There are good news because you can use your phone to make payments through Mpesa. You are only required to pay a penalty of KSH1500 for failing to pay consistently. Once you pay the money your card will be reactivated after two months.

This is the procedure of making the payment:

1.Go to Mpesa and choose Lipa na Mpesa option.

2. Choose Paybill and feed the business number as 200222

3. Use the account number as the ID number of NHIF holder.

Thereafter you’ll receive the a message confirming your received and successful payment.

You are required to pay a minimum of 500 Kenya shillings per month to keep your card active.
