CRUCIAL DEADLINE STUDENTS SHOULD BE AWARE OF

Education in Kenya has evolved to become one of the essential needs for the young people because through it, they are made useful nationals in their adult lives after the school process. Education starts at younger age, through primary and secondary school to the tertiary learning institutions like technical and vocational training colleges and universities.

After the Kenya certificate of secondary education examunations, the students enter an advanced level stage at the tertiary institutions. To support education of the students after secondary school education, the government of Kenya has established the higher education loans board (HELB) to help in disbursing loans to cater for the need students in TVET and universities in Kenya.

The board currently has opened a window for first time and second subsequent loan application for the first time and continuing students respectively. Those who are applying for the first time are required to download the HELB application form from online, fill it duly and attach neccessary documents before dropping it at any Huduma centre in Kenya. For continuing students they can use the HELB mobile app to apply easily.

The deadline for the application is scheduled for 31/10/2021. Students who wish to apply are advised to do so within the stipulated timelines.
