WAS JAKOYO MIDIWO MURDERED? NEW DETAILS EMERGE

The family of former Gem Member of Parliament Jakoyo Midiwo now claims foul play in his death and has gone ahead to seek the assistance of the police to help them unravel what might have happened.

The MP who was first elected to parliament during the 2002 General elections and served up to 2017, died on Monday, June 14.

The family, through Midiwo’s elder brother George Jalang’o now says that it was not satisfied with the ‘cardiac arrest theory’.

“We had no option but to report the matter to the police. My brother was fit, well and going about his activities as usual and therefore we cannot understand why and how he just fell ill and died,” Jalang’o told K24 Digital.

According to him, Midiwo had been very cautious on matters Covid-19 as he had really limited his movements and always stayed at home.

He said that his brother led a good life and that there is no way he could have just died in such a manner.

Midiwo’s body was taken to the Lee Funeral Home and it’s scheduled to undergo a postmortem later today.

The politician fell ill on Saturday, June 12 and was rushed to Nairobi Hospital where he died.

While admitted at the hospital Midiwo is said to have been doing well and that he was even talking to those who went to visit him at the facility.

The politician died at a time when his children had performed well on matters academic with the daughter having graduated from a South African university and the son scoring an A plain in KCSE.
