DAVID NDII TALKS ABOUT EACH KENYAN BEING GIVEN SH 100,000 EACH

Top economist David Ndii has today engaged a Twitter user using parody account of President Uhuru Kenyatta. The user was seeking knowledge on what would happen if each Kenyan was given around Sh 100,000 by the government. He did not specify if it would be a one time pay.

Although David Ndii is ranked as 22nd most influential economist in the world, he often engages his audience. He is never shy to offer enlightenment to anyone who asks him a question on the social sphere. Ndii once explained on his Twitter account that he answers anyone regardless of followers that someone has. This might be one of the reasons that he answered the parody account.

Ndii answered the tweep that it would be impossible for the government to give out such amount. Ndii’s argument is that the annual revenue for the government of Kenya is only $15 billion. Giving each Kenyan $1000 would require at least $50 billion which the state cannot afford. Do you agree with David Ndii?
