BLOGGER ABRAHAM MUTAI EXPLAINS WHY RUTO SHOULD NOT CELEBRATE BBI RULING

Blogger Abraham Mutai has written quite a long post on why Deputy President William Ruto should not celebrate yesterday’s court ruling on BBI. A five bench High Court ruling said that BBI in its entirety is unconstitutional. Ruto was among the first key leaders to respond on the matter by posting ‘There is God in heaven who loves Kenya immeasurably. May God’s name be praised immeasurably.’

Mutai gave the following reasons why Ruto is hypocritical in celebrating the ruling:

1. Nelson Havi who is currently LSK President made the first case to challenge the constitutionality of BBI. When pressed to answer if he was working for the deputy president, Havi was categorical that he has no ties with Ruto.

2. Linda Katiba which challenged BBI in court, has for more than one occasion denied that they are in one way or another associated with Deputy President William Ruto.

3. When some of his allies openly voted for BBI, Ruto said that he had not given his supporters any direction. According to him, BBI was a non priority and he was remaining neutral on the subject.

Mutai now wonders why the deputy president is celebrating yet he was not involved in any way whatsoever in opposing the bill. He calls his statement a manifestation of unparalleled hypocrisy. Mutui is blogger and one of Ruto’s biggest critics.
