LIST OF MOST IMPROVED STUDENTS & SCHOOLS WHICH SHOCKED CS MAGOHA

Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha has officially released the Kenya Certificate of Secondary School (KCSE) results. The CS released the results just two weeks after the 741, 161, candidates finished their papers on April 21, 2021.

Speaking at Mitihani House while announcing the results on Monday, May 10, the tough-talking CS recognised the most improved students who had scored below 200 in their Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examination.

In his speech, Magoha said the performance of the students had dismantled the myth that one had to attend national schools to qualify for university. “They had scored below 200 and they are now going to university from the county schools,” he said.

Here is the list of the most improved students:

  1. Cheruiyot Bett Dennis from Kimargis Secondary School. He had 190 in KCPE but scored B- ADVERTISING
  2. Kiptis Charity scored 151 in KCPE but C+ in KCSE.
  3. Sadeya Shelmith from Oldekesi Secondary School. She scored 168 in KCPE to a B- in KCSE.
  4. Kamar Abdullahi from Habaswein Mixed Day Secondary School scored 163 marks in KCPE but passed in 2020 KCSE. ADVERTISING
  5. Ruweitha Abdikadir Hassan from Hon Khalif Girls. She scored 193 in KCPE but got a B-. Most improved schools
  6. Siololo Parmaari Joseph of Olderkesi Secondary School had 186 marks in KCPE but in KCSE, he got a B-.
  7. Abdullahi Daud Maalim from Ademasajida Mixed Day Secondary Schools. He had 137 marks in KCPE but had C+.
  8. Musharaf Kerow Adan from Mandera Secondary School. He had 140 marks in KCPE but managed to get a C+.
  9. Hassan Abdullahi Osman from Wayam Secondary School. He had 168 marks in KCPE but scored a B-.

  1. Kaaga Girls’ High
  2. St Joseph’s Girls’ Kitale
  3. Kisasi Secondary School
  4. Oriwo Boys High School
  5. Riokindo High School
  6. St Joseph Rapogi
  7. Light Academy 8. Moi Gesusu High School
  8. Saye Mixed Secondary School
  9. St Edward Nyabioto. In the results released by the CS on Monday, May 10, Simiyu Robinson Wanjala from Murang’a High School emerged as the top student with an A of 87.33 points.

He was followed by Agoro Sare High School’s Wesonga Allan with an A (plain) of 87.173, a similar grade to Sharon Chepgeno Terer from Kenya High School who was ranked third.

Muriasi Rob Ongare from Alliance High School was ranked fourth with 87.173 points while Mbugua Esther from Kenya High School closed the best top five with an A (plain) of 87.113 points.

Magoha indicated that there were 893 candidates who scored A (plain) which was an improvement compared to 627 in 2019.
