MISSING KITENGELA FOUR: ONE BODY HAS BEEN FOUND

The body of Elijah Obuong, one of the four friends who mysteriously went missing on Monday, April 19, has been found.

Obuong’s body was reportedly found on Tuesday, April 20, by sand harvesters near Mukungai River along the Murang’a-Iyego-Kangema road.

The body which was not immediately identified as that of Obuong was taken to a morgue in Murang’a and recorded as an unidentified male adult.

Obuong’s body was identified by his family on Thursday, April 29, at the morgue in Murang’a.

The four men; Jack Ochieng, Benjamin Imbai, Brian Odour and Obuong, went missing after having lunch at a popular club in Kitengela. They allegedly left in a white Toyota Mark X only to be reported missing a few hours later.

The men did not leave in their vehicle as it was found in the same spot that it had been parked.

Their disappearance was made known after a post asking Kenyans to help authorities and family find the four, was shared on The Nairobi Crime-Free Society Facebook page.

Friends and relatives of the missing men told the police that their phones were switched off at around 3 pm on the material day.

“We spoke at around 1 pm and he promised to be back on time for my hospital appointment. By 3 pm his phone was off. His friends were also out of reach. I knew something was wrong,” Odour’s wife, Catherine Atieno stated.

Detectives had earlier indicated that they were probing a possible abduction.

One of the four friends is believed to be a mastermind of a gang and has been involved in various criminal activities. He is also belived involved in various criminal activities.
