GOVERNMENT RESPONDS AFTER YESTERDAY’S CURFEW DRAMA.

Yesterday, a section of Kenyans were stranded after the police decided to close down major highways in Nairobi after 8 p.m, which is the curfew time in the One Zoned Area. Many Kenyans have since taken to social media to curse the police action, terming it inhumane.

The Government Spokesman Col (Rt) Cyrus Oguna has finally responded to the uproar by Kenyans. Taking to his social media pages, Oguna has urged Kenyans to respect and adhere to the government’s Covid-19 containment directives.

“It is important that, as a people, we continue to observe the COVID-19 infection control and containment measures, if we are to quickly flatten the infection curve and have our lives get back to normal. Observing these measures include strictly respecting the curfew time which starts at 8pm for the One Zone and 10pm for the rest of the country. Let this be a collective responsibility. We wish everyone a blessed Sunday,” wrote Oguna.
