RINGTONE RESPONDS TO BRIDGET’S RAPE ACCUSATION.

Kenyans through social media platforms have been debating on rape cases and gender based violence issues for almost two weeks now. This is from the murder of Velvine, to when three Homeboyz presenters were fired for their remarks which was termed ‘unrealistic’.

Yesterday evening, a celebrity by the name Bridget Achieng came out and said she is a victim of rape as she was raped by popular gospel singer Ringtone. While still narrating how the incident happened, Bridget emotionally stated that Ringtone took advantage of her and arrogantly told her that she will do nothing about.

Through a video that Bridget posted on her Instagram page, the celebrity said she was raped seven years ago when she was a choir member at Winners Chapel. She asked Ringtone for help and that’s when he invited her to his house and took advantage of her vulnerability. Here is Bridget’s video.

Through the same social media platform, people have woken up to Ringtone’s response to Bridget’s rape accusation. Ringtone said people should be serious with him, they should not try and match him with Bridget as she is not his class. Ringtone went ahead and called Kenyans stupid, claiming he exist whether they support him or not. Ringtone’s video.

However, diving deep into the video that Ringtone posted as a response to Bridget, he only stated that people should not match him with her but he did not state whether he raped her or not. Ringtone only emphasized that he is a man of God, protected and supported by God.
