VIDEO: NEW TWIST IN MIKE SONKO’S CASE.

Diana Mochache, Kahawa West Chief Magistrate ordered that the accused and former governor of the Nairobi metropolitan Mike Mbuvi Sonko be confined to hospital until his health condition improves. This was after she received a medical report indicating that he wasn’ t well at all.

The case was adjourned to the 26th of February 2021, she also ruled that the accused should not be subjected to any questions while in hospital.

The former governor came to court by the aid of an ambulance for his mentioning, if not for the medical report he could have possibly be detained in police cell.

In attempt to cross examine the investigating officer in the terror related cases by Sonko’ s lawyers they were unfortunate since he had traveled out of the county until 21st of February 2021 forcing the adjournment.

The Terrorism Prevention and Investigations Unit(TPIU), conducted all Sonko’ s operation, when he was arrested they offered him security. Later released at Kenya shillings 300, 000 as he was accused of recruiting a militia as the main crime.

Newton Thimangu, TPIU chief inspector sworn an avidavit saying that Sonko has been seen wearing military attire which is associated with terrorism group, pausing a threat to the county.

” The suspect who was in company of unknown person hadworn militia attire and together with the suspect they were both spotted in public in full glare of the media and in front of huge mass of people in a public rally. . . . It will be in the best interest that this court finds it prudent to grant custodial detention period of 30 days to enable investigations relating to this intelligence information to be thoroughly undertaken with a view of preventing intercepting and or interrupting the criminal understandings by the suspect and his associates to forestall imminent danger” said part of the affidavit.
