LAMU SENATOR RESPONDS TO SONKO’S DAUGHTER ACCUSATION.

Lamu Senator Anwar Loitiptip has admitted that he once beat up Ex-Saumu Mbuvi who is daughter to former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko oblivious of her mental status. The senator was forced to speak out after Saumu early in the day shared a photo of her swollen face which she claimed was as a result of the Senator’s violent nature. Senator Anwar while speaking to a local magazine did not deny the assault accusations but said that it happened once before he realized the Saumu had a mental problem.

“Yes but only once before I knew she is suffering from mental problem, call her family members, mine, friends, hospital everyone knows she sick. It’s just you media guys who don’t know and we opted to hide to safeguard her name, but now she has turned her story to favor her.” Anwar said.

Anwar further explained that the Saumu was not injured in the incident even though he reported the matter to the DCI for probe. The lawmaker also disclosed that Saumu’s condition was the sole reason their relationship ended.

“She has a mental psychiatric problem called bipolar, that’s why we never stayed together, she breaks things, shouts and loose memory for even a week. Imagine and all the Kenyans and media houses don’t know, i always hide this from people.”

However , the senator alleged that Saumu’s past boysfriends left her because of the problem .

“Even before we meet she had that problem and that’s why all her boyfriends left her, so how can i beat her and we have been dating for barely 2 years then she gets sick?”

Saumu confirmed that she has Bi-Polar in her Instagram stories where she was interacting with fans.

Reports had emerged that the two had parted ways before Saumu announced their Separation . The reports were fuelled by photos and videos of Senator Loitiptip hanging out with a female friend.

Saumu, on Instagram, announced that the two have separated, claiming that she has undergone domestic violence under Loitiptip.

“These are the things he did to me,”wrote Saumu, in one of her photos showing a swollen face and bruised lips.

“He almost killed me. I will forever fight for women to stand for their rights. Never allow a man to be violent to you.”

She also claimed that the senator had neglected their child, leaving Saumu as the primary caregiver. The two have been dating for months and at one point planned to get married. However, Sonko’s daughter clarified that the two had split before officiating their union. Her previous relationship with businessman cum politician Ben Gatu also ended after she accused him of being violent.
