MASS DEMONSTRATIONS AS RESIDENTS DEMAND FOR SONKO’S RELEASE.

Mass Demonstrations has bit Nairobi County. Residents are now demanding for release of their Ex- Governor, Hon Mike Sonko.

The City residents have barricaded the roads and light up fires as they carry banners calling for Sonko’ s Release. Check the photos below;

Sonko was arrested on Monday when he presented himself to DCI headquarters in Kiambu after being summoned. Interior Ps karanja kibicho sue Sonko for linking him with 2017 election Mayhem. When the Ex- Nairobi boss presented his facts, the court seek to hold him more after alleging that their were other serious Criminal cases the Flamboyant leader was to answer.

Among the 12 cases the Governor is facing includes recruitment of Militia group that would destabilize peace in the country, Destruction of property linked to alleged force Entry in Buru Buru Estate and Kamukunji Estate both in 2019 and has also been Accused of injuring the property owners. Sonko has also been accused of Robbery with Violence in the past years.

While appearing before Kiambu Senior Principal Magistrate, Stella Ataambo, Sonko broke down and accused the state of frustrating him.

Dr Karanja Kibicho has since obtained orders that will stop Sonko from continuing to mention his name in Alleged Hooliganism. High Court Judge, Msagha Mbogholi, has ruled that Dr Kibicho reputation and good Public standing will continue to be damaged if the former Governor is not stopped from uttering the false Statements. Kibicho has also filed applications claiming Sonko said the reckless words with aim of injuring PS’ s reputation.

” The libelous utterances against Dr Kibicho were not an isolated case but a continuous of sustained and systematic false, malicious and reckless statements the former Governor has been making concerning the PS since 2017. ” Senior Counsel Ngatia Mentioned.

Sonko’ s woes begun on December after he was impeached. President Kenyatta has since mentioned that he was the one responsible for the ouster.
