VIDEO: RAILA REVEALED HOW PRESIDENT UHURU’S MEN PLANNED HIS MURDER.

Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga on Thursday, February 4 disclosed how President Uhuru Kenyatta allies planned his murder after his controversial swearing-in ceremony at Uhuru Park after the 2017 elections.

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) boss during an interview with Inooro TV revealed how he escaped being captured after the swearing.

The former Prime Minister has said that after his swearing in January 2018, President Uhuru’s close allies accused him of treason with some advising the Head of State to arrest him.

According to Raila, Uhuru’s advisers wanted him to be Kamiti Maximum Prison and assassinated for the alleged treasonous offence.

“In 2018 Uhuru Men wanted me to be arrested, taken to Kamiti Maximum Prison and assassinated for swearing-in myself as the people’s President,” Raila said in an Interview with Inooro Tv.

Raila said that upon realizing the plot to have him murdered he decided to call President Uhuru Kenyatta with a plan to restore their broken relationship not to destroy the peace of this nation just like Somalia.

The former Prime Minister stated that when he decided to have a handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta was not as a reason of fighting those that were already in the government but to bring a lasting solution to the division that was about to hit this country.

The Orange Democratic Movement party leader has also revealed that he also notified his National Super Alliance team before entering into the Handshake with President Uhuru stating that he sent a message to Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

Questioned on his relationship with Deputy President William Ruto, Raila maintained that he has no personal problem with the second-in-command adding that he only has a problem with his style of doing things.

“I have no problem with DP Ruto…my issue with him is style of doing things and character. Ruto promised to be digital, laptops to children, stadiums and employment… now, he has shifted to wheelbarrow,” Raila stated.

Raila also revealed that 24 counties are expected to pass BBI Bill by the end of this month before the process moves to Parliament.
