POMBE MAGUFULI RECEIVES AN AWARD.

The church leadership led by Bishop Yohana Masinga on Sunday, December 20, awarded the head of state for the way he had been running the country’s development affairs.

“The church and its leadership has recognised the work that is done by Magufuli’s government which include protecting the natural resources and ensuring there is justice for the common man,” Masinga stated.

“The fear he has in the Lord is the reason why we are progressing as a country. It is a testimony that Tanzania under Magufuli’s regime has become a country to emulate in Africa and world over,” the man of God said.

Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa received the award on behalf of Magufuli who missed Masinga’s coronation ceremony in Dodoma.

Tanzania recently went into General Election in which the incumbent Magufuli was accused of using state machinery to intimidate opponents and rig election.

He was declared a winner of the presidential election upon receiving 12.5 million votes (85%) while his main challenger, Tundu Lissu of the Chadema party got 1.9 million votes (13%).
