THREE SISTERS IMPREGNATED BY SAME MAN

Tana River County is still eeling in shock and coming into terms with three of their jewels being impregnated by same man. The sisters who are aged 16 years have each delivered a set of twins at Garissa hospital.

The girls are expected to sit for their Kenya Certificate of Primary Examination in March this year. They had been turned down prior by three hospitals before later giving birth at Garissa hospital through caesearean section.

It has been tumultuous experience for the three siblings. Not only are they underage but they also risked their lives as well as their infants. Doctors in Mombasa and KIlifi had refused to perform the operation terming it too risky. They advised that the girls had to sacrifice an infant each.

“I refused to let that happen. It was a sacrifice, and though scientifically logical, it was traditionally tragic,” their mother said.

The mother with her girls in tow transversed three counties before they could find someone willing to help. The operation would be carried out successfully at a private hospital.

The first born of the three did not have same luck as the other two. She was carrying triplets and she had to sacrifice one on doctor’s advice.

“They all had slim chances of survival and that is why we looked for a specialist. But for the girl with the triplets to come out alive, we had to agree with the mother to choose between her daughter and the third infant,” the doctor said.

The man ran away when he knew the girls were pregnant. “We did not know he was having an affair with all of us since we did not share that bit of our lives with each other as we did not trust each other with secrets,” said one of the girls.

The father of six used to work as a gardener at their home. One of the girls recounted how he used to seduce her with money. “He used to give me pocket money and would sometimes buy me clothes. He was nice to me. I did not know he was doing the same to my sisters,” she confessed.

The gardener has fled and a search mounted to apprehend him. He has been elusive so far with his phone pemanently off,
